You can’t visit Edinburgh, or Scotland for that matter, without taking a tour of the Royal Mile. In an ancient city like Edinburgh, the streets are full of stories, history, life, and death. This historic street that stretches a mile through town from the Castle of Edinburgh to Holyrood Palace is a testament to the years Edinburgh has seen. You will learn all about how the city grew up and down, its joys, and its scars. Taking a guided trip along the royal mile is, without a doubt, one of the best Tours of Scotland you will encounter.
To reach the outer brims of Edinburgh or just to get around without paying for a taxi or taking a toll on your feet, the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour has a lot to offer. You get to hitch a ride and learn all about Edinburgh in one of my favorite Scotland Tours.
This was one of my first ever Tours of Scotland that I took as a wee lass coming to the country for the first time. This tour, however, is not for the faint of heart. In this tour, you enter into the depths of Edinburgh and learn about the underground lives and misery of the people who occupied the vaults. Ghosts are known to appear on this tour, and it’s not recommended for children under 12.
It’s not a trip to Scotland if you don’t manage to tour the highlands now is it?
If you want a short and sweet take on the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, this is one of the best tours of Scotland for you to do just that!
If you want a little bit longer of an experience in the highlands, this 4 day Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye Tour is a wonderful option! This private tour gets you everything you need to see and departs from Glasgow. No accomodation is included.

If the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic taught me one thing, it’s to never ever book travel without travel insurance.
Travel Insured is the ONLY company I use to ensure my travel, and I highly recommend looking into their yearly plans. They also have a “cancel for any reason” policy add-on which allows you peace. of mind no matter what comes to happen.
