CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve made the decision to marry your best friend! You’re going through wedding planning, dress shopping and so much else…but you are also probably excited for the most romantic part…the honeymoon! If you are getting married in the Spring or Summer and you want to travel right after your honeymoon, here are my Top Summer Honeymoon Destinations!

SANTORINI, GREECE – #1 SUMMER HONEYMOON DESTINATION
Without a shadow of a doubt, Santorini is my number one summer honeymoon destination request. Picture-perfect scenery, the Greek Sunshine, private pool suites, and a delightful atmosphere make this Greek island one of the most coveted among honeymooners.
THE MOST ROMANTIC ISLANDS IN GREECE
POSITANO, AMALFI COAST, ITALY – #2 SUMMER HONEYMOON DESTINATION
If Santorini is number one, Positano is the number two requested summer honeymoon destination. While there are not a ton of accommodation options in Positano, nearby cities like Salerno, Amalfi, Sorrento, and Priano could all be your perfect spot for romance this summer.
BELLAGIO, LAKE COMO, ITALY – #3 SUMMER HONEYMOON DESTINATION
Most people don’t go to Italy just for the Amalfi Coast, and my number three request for summer honeymoon destinations is Bellagio on Lake Como. Not only is the allure of George Clooney lurking in the cliffside (ladies you are on your honeymoon now!) but a start in Lake Como with an end in Amalfi is truly a picture-perfect honeymoon.
ICELAND
While it might not seem like a top spot for your summer honeymoon, Iceland is wildly romantic. Jon Snow and his Ygritte? Filmed in Iceland. Endless days, rugged landscapes, cosy cabins? Sign me up.
MEXICO
Mexico is probably #3 on my most booked list for my honeymoon clients! Mexico makes a perfect honeymoon destination if you are looking for romance, relaxation, and some sun & sand. SCOTLAND
If Iceland sounds a bit too far out, how about Scotland? The Highlands and lochs set the stage for a beautiful summer honeymoon destination and we can never forget the romantic love affair of Jamie Fraser and Claire from Outlander. (Seriously, I cannot get over this show, my stomach is in knots thinking about it). The highlands in the summer are full of beautiful heather and less-than-normal moody skies, and if you’re whisky enthusiasts, there’s no better place to be.
CROATIA
While Santorini and Amalfi might be the top-selling destinations in the med for honeymooners, Croatia is slightly more off the trodden path than the other two options and arguably just as stunning. Whether you want to Island hop on your private yacht (not as expensive as you might think it would be!) or roam around Dubrovnik and pretend you’re in Kings Landing (hi, it’s me) – Croatia has a little something for everyone. It’s the perfect mix of sun, sea, and adventure.
MALTA
If you’re looking for an island but not interested in Greece, Malta has so much to offer. History, culture, and seafood are abundant, the walled city of Valetta is stunning and there are some incredible properties for a truly luxurious stay.
SICILY
If you’re going to Malta, one of my favorite pairings for honeymooners is a short ferry ride over to Sicily. Beautiful health and wellness properties, Sicilian cuisine, and stunning coastline makes this one of my favorite relaxing summer honeymoon destinations to send my clients.
CRETE
Crete is one of the more passed-over Greek islands which still has truly so much to offer. There is a variety of things to do on the island (you could spend WEEKS here) and the water is crystal clear and the food delightful.
MALLORCA, SPAIN
While I might be a ~teensy~bit biased seeing as I lived on this island for 3+ years, but it truly is a wonderful location for a honeymoon. If you love the outdoors, beautiful water, day sails, winery and olive groves – this is the spot for you! Perfect with a mainland Spain combo – this small island in the Med is just perfection!
MOROCCO
For a cultural escape like none other – Morocco is a once in a lifetime trip. From spa days in the hammam, to exploring the Sahara Desert, and wandering the souks – for the unique traveler in search of something a little different Morocco is a perfect honeymoon destination.
PROVENCE, FRANCE
Wine, seaside, beachclubs, and baguettes – have we ever heard of a better honeymoon destination? In the lap of luxury? We’ll say yes to that!
JAPAN
Japan proved to be one of the top selling destinations for the start of 2023 thanks to their reopening! Not only is Japan a wonderful summer honeymoon destination, but traveling during the spring means cherry blossoms and during the fall means beautiful foliage.
HAWAII
Always a classic, Hawaii is a timeless destionation. Whether you want to chill with the locals on the North Shore, or explore the mountains in Kauai, Hawaii is a wonderful domestic destination for Honeymooners if maybe that passport didn’t come in on time, or it’s just been on your bucketlist for a while!
PRO TIP: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE CLOSER TO HOME BUT YOU WANT THE FLARE OF FRANCE – TRY GUADELOUPE IN THE CARIBBEAN.
THAILAND
Thailand truly has it all. Metropolitan cities, alluring jungles, and white sand beaches. Not to mention some incredible resorts – and all at a fairly economical price. I quoted a client recently for 10 days in Thailand in Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui – at alll 5 star luxury resorts, inclkuding the Belmond Napasai, all tours and activities, internal flights, AND transfers for LESS THAN 4K!!! This is crazy! If you are looking for a tropical getaway that has it all and you’ll feel like a prince and princess – Thailand is your spot!

All incusive, exclusive, over the water bungalows. Wake up in the morning, and jump straight into a remote lagoon. What else is paradise?
