To craft rugged luxury itineraries for open minded explorers seeking faraway and bespoke experiences
At The Boho Traveller, we are all about the meeting point where rustic luxury joins with authentic travel experiences, and one of those penultimate places for me is in the mountains of Colorado. Known for its breathtaking landscapes and adventurous spirit, a few 14ers, epic ski resorts, and fun towns, Colorado offers a plethora of destinations that will leave you looking for your own cabin in the woods. From the vibrant cityscape of Denver to the charming mountain town of Salida, let me take you on a journey through the 10 best places to visit in Colorado.
I have a lot of firsthand experience in Colorado — my brother went to school in Durango, and I would spend over a month there every year exploring, skiing, hiking, and enjoying craft beers in the little cowboy town. I’ve been to Denver to watch the Broncos play and drove up Pikes Peak in an October snowstorm. Colorado really has something for everyone, and these are some of my recommended best places to visit in Colorado.
Of course, we couldn’t start off our travel guide on the ten best places to visit in Colorado without first mentioning Denver. In Denver, the cosmopolitan cityscape meets the Rocky Mountains and what you get is a blend of mountain cowboys and young professionals enjoying that exact lifestyle. Explore the historic Larimer Square, known for its charming boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. The city boasts an eclectic food scene, ranging from farm-to-table eateries *yum* to innovative culinary experiences. For a touch of luxury, consider staying at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, where you can enjoy sophisticated accommodations and impeccable service. Alternatively, the Four Seasons Hotel Denver offers a contemporary oasis in the heart of the city. The Brown Palace Hotel, a historic landmark, combines elegance with old-world charm (and is our go-to favorite). For a more boutique vibe, we suggest The Crawford Hotel.
Here are a few fun things to do in Denver, one of our best places to visit in Colorado.
