San Francisco is one of those cities I initially fell in love with but never seem to be able to get back to. From taking a romantic luxury yacht cruise on the bay to walking the Golden Gate hand in hand, there is something so magical about San Francisco.
The California coast is dreamy and mysterious. Things seem to happen there. If you’re feeling spunky, you can adventure in a seaplane tour over the city or just kick back, enjoy the amazing dining and bar scene, and enjoy each other’s company.

Something about bathing in the warm waters of the Caribbean and staying at a lush resort while your skin turns bronze will never go old.
Guadeloupe is a romantic destination that offers something for everyone — from pristine beaches like Grand Anse to hiking in the rainforest. The island is known for its French influence, and you will feel like you are in a mini tropical France while visiting this destination.
There are few things more romantic than cuddling up by the fire, sipping a hot chocolate (or whisky – I won’t judge) while snow is falling down outside. One of my FAVORITE romantic getaways is anywhere in Colorado, but the best has got to be Telluride.
A secluded mountain town in the San Juan Mountains, Telluride is posh, quaint, romantic, and has everything you could want from a Colorado cowboy town. With a mostly green city – you access the town/mountain village via the complimentary gondola – Telluride has tons of activities for everyone – whether you ski or not.
February brings us dog sledding, sleigh rides in an open horse carriage, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and, of course, drinking around the fire. Or, for a super romantic time, bundle up, pack the swimmies, and head out to some of the nearby hot springs the area has to offer!
If you’re looking for another town to combine with your trip to Telluride, I highly recommend Durango, CO – a true cowboy town with Purgatory ski resort just a 30-minute drive up the mountain.
Mountain Lodge at Telluride – Starting at $550 per night
Lumiere with Inspirato – Starting at $2100 per night
Inn at Lost Creek – Starting at $1050 per night
It’s indisputable that the South has a charm all of its own, and Savannah, GA, is no exception. Savannah has some of the best restaurants, hotels, and nightlife in the South. If you’re a social couple, this is the place to be.
From fantastic river cruises, to tapas bars, there is something to do in the evening for everyone. Drag shows, piano bars, you name it – Savannah is vibrant with plenty of southern charm to go around, and I cannot get enough of it.
While you’re in Savannah, don’t forget to learn about the history of the city and the area by visiting Wormsloe Plantation, Owens-Thomas House and Slavequarters, and the Juliet Gordon Low birthplace.
P.S. While Savannah makes for an AMAZING romantic weekend, it also makes for a WONDERFUL girl’s weekend, too! Read my article here on an amazing girl’s trip to Savannah, GA!

If you’re a surfer, avid beach lover, or just need some tropics and good vibes in your life, the Pura Vida nation is where you need to go.
Puerto Rico is a very affordable weekend trip. It makes it feel like you are escaping America, but you don’t need a passport to do it.

I know it seems wild – but maybe make your long weekend a week-long and treat yourself and your partner to the most romantic getaway of them all in the City of Love. There is a reason why Paris is for lovers. There isn’t quite anything like seeing the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower or sipping coffee and eating croissants. Cute little alcoves, romantic music, and escargot await you in Paris, along with the trip of a lifetime. It might be a stretch, but Paris is the most romantic city in the world for a reason. It makes you fall in love all over again.
